Short runs, multi-design orders and photo art

No screens. No waiting on screens.

Direct-to-garment printing works like a giant inkjet for clothing. Your digital file goes straight from screen to shirt, with every color, gradient and fine line intact. No screens to burn means no waiting. Orders start at 12 pieces, and you can print a different design on each.

We run DTG at our shop at 2710 S Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, so you can drop by, pick up and get on with your day.

Who orders DTG?

  • Brands testing a design before committing to a full screen printed run. A short DTG run is a common first step before bigger orders.
  • Artists selling limited editions or made-to-order pieces.
  • Celebrations and reunions: a family photo or birthday design on a dozen shirts.
  • Small teams and crews that need a dozen shirts, not a box.
  • Multi-design drops where every piece is different.

What artwork works best?

DTG loves detail. Photos, illustrations, gradients and full-color art that would need many screens print in a single pass. The better the file, the better the shirt, so send the highest resolution image you have. Logos from a business? Ask your designer or marketing team for the original file.

Every order gets a free art check before printing. We flag anything that might print soft or blurry, and send a proof for your approval.

What fabrics take DTG?

DTG gives its best results on cotton. The water-based inks soak into the fibers, so the print feels soft and breathes with the shirt. Over time, ink and fabric fade together, which gives a naturally worn, vintage look. Working with polyester or blends? DTF is usually the better pick.

Local pickup, no shipping wait

Because you are printing with a Downtown LA shop, you can collect your order in person, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Normal (about 2 weeks), Rush (1 week, +15%) and Super Rush (3 business days, +30%) turnaround options are available; call to confirm.

When to move up to screen printing

DTG is perfect for full-color art and short runs. On bigger runs of the same design, screen printing usually gives a better price per piece. Read the full DTG overview, or browse tees in the catalog.

Upload your design through the quick quote form and we will reply within one business day.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can I order just one DTG shirt?

No. DTG orders start at 12 pieces, the same minimum as every order we produce.

Can every shirt in my order have a different design?

Yes. Because there are no screens, DTG is the fastest way to print many different designs in small quantities.

What is the difference between DTG and DTF?

DTG prints ink directly into the fabric for a seamless, soft feel that fades with the garment over time. DTF transfers a printed film, which adds a subtle layer you can feel and works well on polyester and blends.

When should I switch to screen printing?

On bigger runs of the same design, especially with a few solid colors, screen printing usually becomes more cost-effective.
