Go big. TBSP pulls oversize and jumbo screen prints at our shop at 2710 S Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, for designs that need more room than a standard chest or back print. Bring 12 or more pieces and we will put your art on press, after a free art check to make sure it holds up at full size.
Prints that fill the shirt
A large format print is any graphic that takes over more of the garment than a typical chest, pocket or back hit. People call it jumbo, oversize or just a big print. Whatever the name, the effect is the same: the art becomes the garment.
It is the move for:
- Streetwear and clothing brands dropping a bold front or back graphic
- Artists and tour merch where the artwork is the whole point
- Events, teams and clubs that want lettering you can read from across the room
It is the same screen printing we run every day, scaled up with a larger screen and print area. That means solid ink coverage, consistent color from the first shirt to the last, and a finish that feels like screen printing because it is.
Which garments take an oversize print best?
Flat, even surfaces give the cleanest big prints, so t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts lead the way. Hoodies shine on the back; on the front, the pocket and seams set the limits. Tell us the garment and we will tell you what fits before you approve anything.
Browse blanks in our catalog, or check our t-shirts and sweatshirts and hoodies pages.
How should I prep artwork for a jumbo print?
A big print shows every pixel, so file quality matters more here than on a small logo.
- Send vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) when you have them.
- For raster art, send a high-resolution file at the size you want printed.
- Call out Pantone colors if you need an exact match.
Every order gets a free art check. If something will break down at large size, we flag it before a single screen gets burned.
Full-color art? You still have options
Screen printing is built for bold designs with a set number of ink colors. For photo-real or full-color art, look at direct-to-garment (DTG) or direct-to-film (DTF). Both start at 12 pieces. Ask which one suits your print size and fabric.
Stack it with other decoration
A huge back print and a small front chest hit is a classic combo. Add embroidery on matching hats or jackets and the whole collection ties together. We quote it as one order so you see one plan.
